MINRAD INTERNATIONAL is an interventional pain management company with real-time image guidance and anesthesia and analgesia product lines. Our image guidance products incorporate patented technologies that enable medical professionals to improve the accuracy of surgical procedures while minimizing radiation to the patient, physician and staff. Our pharmaceutical products are generic inhalation anesthetics used for human and veterinary surgical interventions. MINRAD’s recent advancement has been the development of a drug delivery system for the use of halogenated ethers as inhalant analgesics.

Company Locations

· Worldwide Corporate Headquarters and Image Guidance Devices and Acute Care Anesthetic/Analgesic Devices manufacturing are located in Orchard Park, NY.

· Acute Care Inhalation Anesthetics are manufactured at our facility in Bethlehem, PA.

· European Subsidiary is located in Lille, France.

Facility / Packaging Manager

Location: Bethlehem, PA

Responsibilities:
This position requires that the successful candidate be able to perform the following activities:

• Manage the liquid filling, packaging and shipping of all anesthetic products with 2 direct and 9 indirect reports.
• Determine the schedule and inventory requirements to meet worldwide customer demand.
• Coordinate schedule with Production to ensure product availability.
• Control warehouse activities, determine and monitor inventory levels, meet all Regulatory requirements.
• Monitor department performance against standards.
• Develop and monitor financial budgets
• Identify and support the implementation of productivity improvements.

Requirements:
The successful candidate will have the following education and experience:

• BS in engineering, packaging or similar technical discipline.
• 2-5 years experience working in a manufacturing environment, liquid filling, packaging and or supervisory experience a plus.
• The ability to work within a team environment, be flexible to production schedules, and lend support to other manufacturing activities as required.

International Area Managers

Positions available in the following areas:

MINRAD is seeking International Area Managers to support the global rollout of its product lines. Area Managers report to Regional Managing Directors and work with local distributors and physicians to develop the product range in their territories. Longer-term, Area Managers will be expected to build local sales organizations in their territories. MINRAD's strategy is to recruit foreign nationals studying at graduate schools of business that wish to work for a US multi-national in their native regions. The ideal candidates for these positions will make a strong first impression and posses enthusiasm, good communication skills, strong technical education - engineering or life sciences, a sense of humor, and, of course, an MBA. Health Care Industry experience is a plus. The individual will work out of their home and will be required to travel throughout their region.

Process Engineer

Location: Bethlehem, PA

Responsibilities:
This position requires that the successful candidate be able to perform the following activities:

• Master the processes run in production in order to trouble shoot as needed.
• Optimization of batch reaction and distillation unit operations.
• Integrate product forecast with equipment utilization.
• Contribute toward plant expansion and cost reduction projects.
• Track process data versus standards.
• Perform process-related discrepancy investigations as required.
• Identify and support the implementation of process improvements.
• Draft process related documentation (SOPs, validation protocols, technical instructions, etc.).

Requirements:
The successful candidate will have the following education and experience:

• BS in chemical engineering or similar engineering discipline.
• 0-3 years experience working on chemical processes in a manufacturing environment.
• The ability to work within a team environment, lending support to other manufacturing activities as required.

Research Chemist

Location: Bethlehem, PA

Responsibilities:
This position requires that the successful candidate be able to perform the following activities:

• Design, synthesize, and test candidate fluorinated anesthetic agents
• Specify and purchase laboratory equipment and raw materials
• Write reports, patent applications, procedures and protocols, as required.

Requirements:
The successful candidate will have the following education and experience:

• PhD in organic chemistry
• 3+ years designing, synthesizing, and testing fluorinated compounds
• Experience with active pharmaceutical ingredients in a cGMP environment is highly desirable
• Proficient at both verbal and written communication
• The ability to work within a team environment, lending support to other manufacturing activities as required.

Sr Cost Reduction Engineer

Location: Bethlehem, PA

Responsibilities:
This position requires that the successful candidate be able to perform the following activities:

• Identify, research, develop, implement, and validate cost reduction programs for production, packaging, etc in support of the manufacture of anesthesia gases. 
• Develop budgets and prepare Capital Requisitions for cost reduction projects.
• Support cost reductions in the areas of raw material procurement, raw material utilization, reaction/distillation performance improvements, capacity improvements, etc.
• Draft all related documentation (SOPS, validation protocols, etc.)
• Support all engineering efforts on site.

Requirements:
The successful candidate will have the following education and experience:

• BS in chemical engineering or similar engineering discipline.
• 5-10 years experience working in a manufacturing environment, with at least 5 years of experience in successful cost reduction activities.
• The ability to work within a team environment, lending support to other manufacturing activities as required.

US Sales Representative

This individual, reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, is responsible for managing one of our US territories. Beyond meeting sales and gross profit targets, this individual will work closely with anesthesiologists, orthopedic surgeons, neurosurgeons and interventional radiologists.

The Ideal candidate for this position will have 3+ years experience in acute care devices and/or acute care pharmaceuticals, a four-year college degree (preferably in a technical field), very strong quantitative and training skills, excellent communication skills, an entrepreneurial spirit and a strong sense of urgency.
